Enjoy a few days of relaxation with us in the nature reserve for ibex and deer. Spend the night in our renovated rooms. The hike or ski tour that follows during the day will be a pleasure. In the evening you can fortify yourself with typical Swiss specialties. Families welcome.
INFORMATIONEN ZUM WEISSTANNENTAL
Das idyllische Weisstannental liegt mitten in der Ferienregion Heidiland in der flächengrössten Gemeinde des Kantons St. Gallen (Mels). Eine gut ausgebaute Strasse führt vom Melser Dorfplatz aus rund 12 km nach Weisstannen. Das Tal besteht aus zwei Dörfern bzw. Weilern. Das eigentliche Dorf Weisstannen liegt auf 1‘000 m.ü.M. und Schwendi auf 900 m.ü.M. Die Bergspitze der Grossen Schibä ganz hinten im Weisstannental bildet mit 2‘937 m.ü.M. Höhe den höchsten Punkt innerhalb der Gemeinde Mels.
Das Tal weist viele einmalige Naturschönheiten auf, die zum Wandern einladen und den Einheimischen und Gästen immer wieder ein Staunen entlocken. Wo sonst finden sich so viele Wasserfälle, gepflegte Bergwiesen und Alpen? Adler und Steinböcke gehören zu den Attraktionen dieser schönen Gegend.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE WEISSTANNEN VALLEY
The idyllic Weisstannen Valley lies in the middle of the Heidiland vacation region in the largest municipality in the canton of St. Gallen (Mels). A well-maintained road leads around 12 km from the village square in Mels to Weisstannen. The valley consists of two villages or hamlets. The actual village of Weisstannen lies at 1,000 m above sea level and Schwendi at 900 m above sea level. At 2,937 m above sea level, the mountain peak of the Grosse Schibä at the far end of the Weisstannen valley is the highest point in the municipality of Mels.
The valley has many unique natural beauties that invite you to hike and never cease to amaze locals and visitors alike. Where else can you find so many waterfalls, well-tended mountain meadows and alpine pastures? Eagles and ibex are among the attractions of this beautiful area.
